Citrine, one of the birthstones of November, is a yellow to gold coloured quartz. It has been called the "stone of the mind". Ancient cultures believed it would increase the psychic power of an elder if placed on their forehead. Citrine is understood to calm and soothe distressed conditions and alleviate depression.
