Tourmaline
Tourmaline is not comprised of a single mineral; it is made of many ores. Iron-rich tourmaline tends to be black to bluish-black to deep-brown. Magnesium rich tourmaline tends to be brown to yellow. Lithium rich tourmaline can be almost any colour including blue, green, red, yellow and pink. Tourmaline ranges from translucent to opaque and can be bi or tri-coloured.
Tourmaline is believed to promote love, disperse emotional pain and dissolve disruptive emotions. It is associated with the root chakras, therefore grounding and a protective stone.
